Arsenal transfer news: Arsene Wenger has previously given some advice to Arsenal and Chelsea transfer target Michael Olise.

The north London outfit have been rumoured with interest in the past, with the forward impressing during his two years at Crystal Palace. At just 21 years old and with plenty of top-flight experience now under his belt, Olise could prove to be a promising option for a top club like Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta has also been linked with adding another right-wing player over the summer, despite the importance ofBukayo Sakaand the new long-term Ԁєɑł signed byReiss Nelsonearlier this summer. But in the French international, there’s a player who could play across the front four in time.
They would have to fight off interest from other clubs though as Manchester City have been monitoring a move alongside London rivals Chelsea. The Blues have completely overhauled their transfer strategy over the past year, with a change of ownership switching things up.
A move towards adding young talent has become a priority, which is only emphasised following a huge squad clear out over the summer window. A bid at £35million was claimed to be made by Chelsea this summer, with the outcome from Palace yet to be ɾєⱱєɑłєԀ.
While Arsenal may be keen to stop their neighbours having one of the bright talents for the future, there’s a dilemma over his current output. It was one that was made clear by former manager Wenger who, as per theAthletic, told Olise in a meeting last year that he needs to add goals to his game.
“He can score more,” said his manager at the time, Patrick Vieira. “He has to and I expect him to. What is missing is to just give him a little bit of time.” While that is the case, it could be far too soon for the Gunners to be able to make such a move to try and bolster their ranks.
With the side chasing the Premier League title, the Champions League and domestic cups in the coming season and beyond, that time may not be afforded when it comes to crunch time. The goals and output of wingers such as Bukayo Saka andGabriel Martinellihave been key over the past year, but in Olise, Arsenal could find a player that may not have the right environment at this place in time.
