Heaton takes a leaf out of Onana’s book

Against Real Madrid, United fɑɴȿ were introduced to a new style of goalkeeping fromAndre Onana. This was particularly noticeable when the Reds were in attack as the Cameroonian occupied an offensive position near the halfway line.

This influence from the new man was mirrored by understudy Tom Heaton in Las Vegas. The former Burnley ‘keeper was seen standing in the centre circle whenever United won a corner – and whenever they were on the attack for that matter – and it is clear Ten Hag has made a point of his ‘keepers being more offensive since Onana’s arrival.

Ten Hag’s deep chat with Forson

Omari Forson impressed during the 35 minutes he was on the pitch forUnited. The youngster was a constant threat on the flank but a moment of madness єɴԀed his night early.

In front of the dugouts, Forson and Karim Adeyemi squared up to each other with the latter grabbing his opponent’s shirt. Both men were booked for the coming together and Ten Hag made the decision to substitute the 19-year-old.

Before he could take his place on the bench, Ten Hag spent a good minute giving the youngster an exρłɑɴation for his decision before tapping him on the head and sєɴԀing him on his way.

Maguire’s mixed night

When his name was read out by the stadium announcer,Harry Maguirewas greeted by a much warmer reception than he got against Real Madrid in midweek. However, once the game began a few jeers could be heard when the former captain had the ball.

This did subside as the match wore on but he did not escape Onana’s anger when the Cameroonian deemed his teammate to have switched off. The goalkeeper rushed towards the centre-back, making sure he knew exactly what he had done wrong.

A mixed evening for the England international.
