FC Porto have lowered their asking price of striker Mehdi Taremi amid interest fromArsenal and AC Milan.

The Gunnersare ɾєρօɾτedly interested in the forward as an option to strengthen their forward options. The 30-year-old scored 31 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions last season and according to Gianluca Di Marzio, Porto are now only asking for €20million ($22.4million/£17.1million).

AC Milan, though, are said to be more keen on a new striker after losing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

football.londonsays:Arsenal’s priority isn’t a striker right now.Confirmation of Jurrien Timber’s arrival has solidified Mikel Arteta’s options in defenceand Declan Rice’s imminent move will have ticked off all the areas that required attention.

However, the saga ofFolarin Balogundoes drag on. The striker has, ironically, been linked with a move to AC Milan amid uncertainty surrounding his future in north London. It’s likely that he will leave the club with such interest, leaving Arsenal short in attack.

At £17million, Taremi would be a perfect replacement for Balogun. A solid goalscoring record in Europe with the experience in the Champions League to help the younger players. Time will tell whether the Gunners will push ahead with their interest.

Liverpool scupper Lavia Ԁєɑł

Arsenal’s hopes of signing Southampton midfielderRomeo Laviacould be handed a major blow in the coming days.

Liverpool’s interest in the Belgian has intensified in recent days following progress in Jordan HєɴԀerson’s move to Saudi Arabia. Now, according to Sacha Tavolieri, the Reds are waiting for confirmation of the midfielder’s move to Al-Ettifaq before submitting their first bid for Lavia.

The journalist also ɾєρօɾτs that the 19-year-old has spoken to Jurgen Klopp and wants to play at Anfield. Arsenal are said to retain interest in the former Manchester City midfielder, though a move seems unlikely.

football.londonsays:Liverpool’s midfield has been in desperate need of a revamp for some time. The signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have certainly done that, with the exit of HєɴԀerson – and maybe Fabinho – likely, further additions could follow.

Liverpool’s willingness to allow HєɴԀerson to leave all but confirms their pursuit of Lavia. If the ɾєρօɾτ from Tavolieri is correct, Arsenal will really struggle to convince Lavia to join them. A move to Merseyside looks very likely, leaving Arsenal with being forced to look elsewhere.

Asfootball.londonɾєρօɾτed yesterday, the door isn’t shut on Moises Caicedo. But with Chelsea competing for the Ecuadorian, time will tell.
