A pivotal development in Barcelona’s summer transfer exploits has now been their turn of attention to the signing of Bernardo Silva.

With Ousmane Dembele’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain all but sealed, the Catalans will be looking to reinforce the team and fill the void that he leaves.

Albeit the Frenchman has had his issues with injuries, when fit, he is the most dynamic attackerBarcelonahave, which means they will lose a significant amount of quality and unpredictability in attack.

Barcelona need to make a big push

Given their stringent budget, even the sale of Dembele will likely not be enough forBarcelonato generate enough money to sign Bernardo Silva.

They must also focus their attention to thedepartures of Clement Lengletand Franck Kessie, which, as ɾєρօɾτed earlier today the latter is especially advancing.

And according to ɾєρօɾτs fromMundo Deportivo, Bernardo has rєjєƈτed offers from Saudi Arabia and even from PSG, as the latter looked to double Barcelona’s misery.

However, after the economic effort fell short last summer, the club and the player are looking to avoid a repeat and ensure they have a cushion big enough to make a move for Silva.

Other signings on the horizon?

The Portuguese duo would massively improve Barcelona’s squad, but unless departures are finalised, the ɾєρօɾτed 20 million euros freed up in the wage bill won’t be enough to facilitate their arrivals.

Barcelona are also ρłɑɴning to use part of their budget from Dembele’s sale to push for Joao Cancelo, who could be a great offensive addition to complement Raphinha as the club look tomove on from Dembele.

It remains to be seen how flexible Manchester City are in these negotiations.

While they want to offload Cancelo, they may not be willing to let Bernardo go very easily.

It seems unlikely at best forBarcelonato sign both the players, but it would probably make most sense to prioritise the arrival of a right-back more than an attacker given the lack of depth in that position.
