Reinier’s Uneventful Loan Spell At Girona
Reinier had an underwhelming loan spell at Girona recently as he struggled to be consistent for them in front of the opponent’s goal. The 21-year-old netted a couple of goals and picked up one assist in 18 matches for the Spanish club last season in all competitions.
The Brasilia-born attacker made most his appearances off the bench which explains why he only averaged 0.5 shots, 0.4 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. However, he was careful when distributing possession in the opponent’s half after making 80.7% of his attempted passes in the Spanish top tier (stats viawhoscored).
His current contract atthe Madrid clubwill run out in 2026. However, he is currently not a part of Carlo Ancelotti’s ρłɑɴs for the new season which could lead to his departure once again on loan this summer.
