The fact that Kylian Mbappe has decided to stay at Paris Saint-Germain for another year is supposed to pose a big problem forReal Madrid.
However, if a ɾєρօɾτ fromMundo Deportivois to be believed, theLos Blancosare not really troubled by the recent turn of events, although they have been extremely attentive to what has happened in Paris of late.
Mbappe was largely expected to leave PSG this summer after the forward informed the Ligue 1 team that he does not wish to renew his ongoing Ԁєɑł, which runs until 2024.
The problems certainly did not єɴԀ there for PSG as Mbappe also informed that he wishes to fulfil his ongoing Ԁєɑł and will only leave as a free agent.
The constant back and forth
Over the last few weeks, PSG have been continuously trying to persuade Mbappe to sign a Ԁєɑł but the player rєjєƈτed all the approaches.
As a result, the forward was barred from the first team altogether but after a recent ‘positive and constructive discussion’,the 24-year-old has finally decided to stay put.
As forReal Madrid, although an interest was stated, the team from the Spanish capital never really approached the player or PSG per se with an official offer.
In fact, the management has quietly been watching the entire charade from afar.
What now for Real Madrid?
MD writes that whatever happened between Mbappe and PSG in the last few days does not concernReal Madridat all. In fact, those sitting in the higher offices are of the idea that the event is none of their concern.
From this, though, they have learned that‘everything can change from one day to the next and they are ready in case they have to take action’.
Those in charge of the Madrid club have assured that Mbappe was anyway a target for the summer of 2024.
But at the same time, they have perceived this incident as a learning curve and they are actually quite surprised by Mbappe’s decision to renew with PSG, although the new Ԁєɑł will have a clause for him to leave next year.
In all fairness, this is what Madrid have ever wanted, the acquisition of Mbappe in the summer of 2024. The 24-year-old’s new contract will have that clause, but he will no longer be available for free next year.
At the same time, if he pens a long-term contract, Madrid will not negotiate with PSG at all and in that case, it will be the player who will have to make efforts to sign for Real.
