Carlo Ancelotti’s men have already robbed Die Borussen of top-notch talent in Bellingham, forking out just upwards of €100 million to sign the 2022/23 Bundesliga Player of the Season.

But their raid on Dortmund may not єɴԀ there, with Adeyemi catching the attention of the Santiago Bernabeu hierarchy after a solid debut season in Germany’s top flight.

Adeyemi swapped Red Bull Salzburg for North Rhine-Westphalia last summer, putting pen to paper on a long-term contract, which was supposed to keep him at the club until 2027.

During his first season in Germany, the 21-year-old forward racked up six goals and six assists from 24 league appearances as Dortmund narrowly missed out on their first Bundesliga title since 2011/12.

His breakthɾօυɢҺ campaign in a European top-five league has not gone unnoticed, with Madrid assessing the possibility of reuniting him with Bellingham.

Los Merengues have bid farewell to four forwards this summer, with Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio and Mariano Diaz waving goodbye to the club, leaving Ancelotti short of senior attacking options.

While the president Florentino Perez remains hopeful of reinforcing his side’s attacking department with either Kylian Mbappe or Harry Kane, it won’t be enough to keep the team competitive on multiple fronts.

Having dropped their interest in Chelsea’s underachiever Kai Havertz, the Spaniards have moved on to Adeyemi, but they’ll need to allocate a significant war chest to get the Ԁєɑł over the line.

Adeyemi won’t come cheap, as Dortmund slapped a substantial €80m price tag on his shoulders, making it clear they’re unwilling to give up two prodigious talents in one summer unless they’re well compensated.
