Manchester United will learn who they will face in the Champions League group-stages tomorrow when the draw is made in Monaco.
The Reds are back in Europe’s biggest competition after finishing third in the Premier League last season. We are in Pot 2 as a result.
IManchester United legєɴԀ and European Cup winner Paddy Crerand spoke about which teams we might come up against.
“It’s a competition that a club of this size should be in every season, and it’s good to return to it after a season in the Europa League,”Crerand wrote in his United Review column for the Nottingham Forest game, as perManUtd.com.
“I see we’re in pot two this year, so we’ll get one of the top opponents outside of England in our group – that could be Barcelona, Bayern Munich or PSG – but equally we’ll avoid Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and others who are in our pot, so I wouldn’t say there’s a huge advantage to the seedings.
“Whoever we draw, I’ll look forward to those evenings under the Old Trafford floodlights.”
United fɑɴȿ have been joking about the likelihood of drawing Seville again, or even having to go back to Spain.
The other potential ‘top opponents’ include Bayern Munich, Napoli, Benfica and Feyenoord.
The draw takes place at 5pm on Thursday and we’ll be providing updates thɾօυɢҺout the day.
