ManchesterCityteenager Carlos Borges is wanted by Nottingham Forest, with the Midlands club entering preliminary talks in regards to a potential transfer.

Steve Cooper is looking to add goals to his side as Nottingham Forest prepare for their second season in the top-flight after securing their Premier League status with a win over Arsenal, which coincidentally also guaranteed Manchester City’s latest title.

Forest scored just 38 goals in the Premier League last season, one of the lowest totals in the division, as Chris Wood, who was signed on loan from Newcastle United, suffered a season-єɴԀing ιɴjυɾу in March.

In an attempt to add more goals to the side next season, Nottingham Forest are claimed to be eying up a move forManchester Cityteenager Carlos Borges, who has also been linked with Southampton and West Ham.

The 19 year-old was named as the Premier League 2 player of the season for his role in Manchester City’s Elite Development Squad winning their third successive PL2 title, under the management of Brian Barry-Murphy.

Borges was directly involved in 33 goals in 21 appearances in the PL2 last season, while the teenager also scored four goals in the EFL trophy and was involved in 10 UEFA Youth League goals.

The young forward also featured in a friєɴԀly for theCityfirst-team in December against Girona, as Pep Guardiola’s squad prepared for the restart of the Premier League campaign following the FIFA World Cup.

Forest areclaimedto be “keen” on bringing Borges to theCityGround this summer, with talks regarding a potential transfer at a preliminary stage,according to ESPN.

The 19 year-old has one year remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, and although there remains the possibility of Borges signing a newManchester CityԀєɑł, the Sky Bluesɾєρօɾτedlyvalue the teen at £11 million.

ESPN furtherclaimthatCitycould look to tie Borges down to a new Ԁєɑł and then allow the player to leave on loan in search of regular first-team minutes.

NumerousManchester Cityplayers have enjoyed recent success out on loan, with Tommy Doyle and James McAtee both having impressive campaigns with Sheffield United in the Sky Bet Championship.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis and goalkeeper James Trafford also had success with Burnley and Bolton respectively.
