Argentina beat France on penalties in Qatar 2022, with Lionel Messi scoring twice in the final.
He is currently back on international duty, scoring as Argentina beat Australia 2-0 in a friєɴԀly match held in China.

Lionel Messi is still clearly over the moon with his World Cup triumph, the culmination of a career goal; destiny, you could argue.
It was Argentina’s first World Cup win since 1986, with Manchester United defєɴԀerLisandro Martinezplaying his part thɾօυɢҺ the tournament too.
Martinez wrote in response to Messi’s latest Instagram post, “Number one in the history of football.”

But last week he played alongside Lionel Messi for the first time, coming off the bench in Argentina’s win over Australia and sharing the pitch with the great man.
Argentina are in action again today when they face Indonesia, with Garnacho named as a substitute.
