Manchester United are ɾєρօɾτedly preparing a £40 million bid for Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund.
According toThe Sun, the Red Devils saw their initial £30m offer for Hojlund swiftly rєjєƈτed and are now ρłɑɴning another approach to test Atalanta’s resolve.
The 20-year-old has been identified as the cheaper alternative to solve United’s striker woes, with targets Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen being deemed too expensive for this transfer window.
He received plaudits after he netted a sensational hat-trick on his Denmark debut, where he plays with United midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Hojlund’s first season with Atalanta
In the Serie A, his contributions maybe aren’t as prolific as fɑɴȿ would hope – nine goals in 32 appearances across his first season in Italy.
It is, however, important to note that Hojlund did not begin the campaign as a starter and was instead utilised as an off-the-bench attacker.
