New Manchester United signing Andre Onana is worth £100 million, according to former Italy star Gianluca Pagliuca.
Being a goalkeeper is about more than just shot-stopping and nowadays, good passing from the back. It also requires personality.
Andre Onanahas character in abundance. Another who did was former Italy and Inter Milan goalkeeper Gianluca Pagliuca, who spoke very highly of the Cameroon international earlier this year.
Pagliuca’s comments suggest Manchester United have secure a real bargain, withAlfredo Pedullaɾєρօɾτing the Ԁєɑł will cost only £47 millionafteradd-ons.

Andre Onana praised
Pagliuca spoke toSempre Interearlier this year after Onana impressed for Inter Milan in a Champions League knockout clash against Porto, with the goalkeeper keeping clean sheets in both matches.
He said: “In my opinion, he was the best player on the pitch. I really liked his performance a lot.
“The sense of security he spreads, his ball distribution, the decisive saves, especially the ones that look easy but in reality are very difficult.
“He really did well. He gave me a sense of security, had a fantastic game.”
The World Cup 1994 star went on to add, “If a foreign club were to arrive and offered 100 million, Inter would do well to sell him. Otherwise, unless a huge offer arrives, I think Inter will keep him.”
The tricky financial situation Inter Milan find themselves in has led to them having to accept Manchester United’s offer for their number one goalkeeper.Onana gives United something different
Andre Onana will change Manchester United’s style in goal, and impact the rest of the team in doing so. In contrast to David de Gea, who spent the most of his time inside the six-yard box, Onana is often found on the very edge of his penalty area and involved with the passing build-up.
It’s a change, and a change for the better, and after 12 years, it will be refreshing to have somethingdifferent. David de Gea does have his own qualities, but at the very top level, against top teams and in big games, they were exposed.
Does Onana guarantee a regular run of trophies? Of course not, although we can hope. But there is a greater chance, and it is encouraging just to be taking a new approach, rather than running back the same strategy which has not worked for so long.
