In a recent ɾєρօɾτ,The Heraldmentioned thatManchester Unitedhave set their sights onRangerskeeperRobby McCroriethis summer. It has been claimed that the Red Devils are eyeing a move for the Scottish full-back in this off-season.
McCrorie’s Limited Role At The Ibrox Stadium
McCrorie was a sporadic presence in Rangers’ squad last season as he struggled to earn a regular starting spot at the Ibrox Stadium. The 25-year-old made just four appearances for the Glaswegian outfit in the previous campaign on all fronts.
The Dailly-born talent did well to average 0.8 clearances and 4.5 long balls per game in the Scottish Premiership. He has even been accurate when distributing the ball from the back based on his pass success rate of 75.3% in the top tier of Scottish football (stats viawhoscored).
His current contract atRangerswill run out in the summer of 2025. Hence, it won’t be easy to arrange a cut-price move for him in this ongoing transfer window.

Is McCrorie The Right Choice ForManchester UnitedBoss Erik Ten Hag?
McCrorie can be a safe pair of hands in between the sticks when he is playing regularly on the pitch. He is a good handler of the ball and can make a few solid saves at the back. However, the Scottish talent needs a regular run of games to get his career back on track.
We can expect McCrorie to enhance the quality ofMan United‘s squad. He has what it takes to serve as an iԀєɑł deputy to Andre Onana at the Mancunian club in the coming seasons.
At 25, McCrorie has his best years ahead of him which makes him a good choice forthe Red Devilsto consider in this off-season. However, there are some concerns over whether he is good enough to cope with the physicality and high intensity of Premier League football.
However, McCrorie could helpthe Mancunian clubchallenge across all fronts over the next few years. Therefore, it is only logical forMan Unitedboss Erik ten Hag to try everything in his power to lure the Scottish goalkeeper to the northwest of England before the єɴԀ of this summer transfer period.
