Manchester United won the Mason Mount race ahead of both Arsenal and Liverpool who had ɾєρօɾτed interest in the midfielder.

The Englishman only joined United a few weeks ago but already feels part of the furniture at the club.

Having madetwo pre-season appearancesso far against both Leeds United and Lyon, playing in the red of Manchester United seems to be second nature.

However he hasn’t performed to his best in the early minutes of his time here which is to be expected with lots to learn aboutErik ten Hag‘s style of play.

But with Saturday’s game against Arsenal fast approaching, there could be no better time for Mount to find form.

Mount can make Gunners regret transfer failure

In early July when the United move was confirmed it wasɾєρօɾτedthat Mikel Arteta had been adamant that Arsenal would win the race to sign Mount.

However a few weeks on, now Arteta is preparing to come face to face with potentially his biggest transfer regret, as he was said to be left‘stunned’that Mount chose United.

This game will give Mount the perfect opportunity to firstly; lay down a brilliant performance and announce himself on the scene as United’s new star.

But also to demonstrate to the Gunners’ boss that he will forever regret missing out on the 24-year-old.

It is the perfect stage, along with laying down a top performance for himself, he could also show-up his ex-Chelsea teammate Kai Havertz who himself is trying to find his feet at a new team.

Huge pre-season game

As far as pre-season games come, Saturday night is probably as big as it gets.

United and Arsenal have such a historic Rivalry which is now being competed at the top єɴԀ of English football.

It is likely these two clubs who will pose the biggest threat to the four-peat attempt that Manchester City Will be going for.

So much bragging rights are up for grabs here, with the two fanbases already going at it across social media.

This only heightens the importance of Mount putting up a great performance as it could indeed stand him in good stead for a successful start to the season.

Given United have already one win over Arsenal in the negotiation room, they can make it 2-0 for the summer with a win here, and who better than to be the catalyst than Mount.
