Chelsea have ɾєρօɾτedly ‘prepared an €80m proposal’ in a bid to sign Eder Militao from Real Madrid this summer.

Militao – who joined Madrid from Porto for around £45m in 2019 – has been a key player under Carlo Ancelotti at the Bernabeu in the last two seasons, helping them to win both La Liga and the Champions League in 2021/22.

His exit would therefore seem unlikely – particularly given he’s just 25 years old – and it probably is despite a ɾєρօɾτ fromNacional.

They claim Militao is ‘among the wishes’ of new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino, who has carried out ‘a thoɾօυɢҺ cleaning in the locker room’ with nine players already gone and more expected to follow.

After that clearing of the decks Pochettino has ‘multiple galactic objectives’ in mind and Militao is among them.

The Blues ‘have long been sighing for the arrival’ of Militao and they ‘are willing to make an important investment’ to land him this summer.

‘€80m is the proposal they have prepared to try to convince Madrid to open the doors to Militao’, who is under contract until 2025, though the ɾєρօɾτ highlights that his ‘salary does not reflect his importance’.

According toCapology, Militao earns around€140,000 per week, which does make him one of the lowest-paid players at Madrid.

While Pochettino is ‘obsessed’ with Militao, Madrid president Florentino Perez ‘isconvinced that Chelsea does not pose a threat’.

Chelsea’s interest may well be a blow for Manchester United, who are also keen, according to a ɾєρօɾτ from the same publication earlier this week.

It was claimed that the Red Devils are ‘willing to do crazy things’ to get Militao out of the Bernabeuand ‘are willing to satisfy the wishes of the Dutch coach [Erik ten Hag],who wants Militao to become his new boss in defence’.

The ɾєρօɾτ also states thathave ‘a lot of money’ which is where this already suspiciously spurious claim really falls down as it’s well-documented that United have a modest budget of £120m, and would need to sell players before even considering a move for the Brazilian defєɴԀer.
