Barcelona have boosted movements on the departure front in recent weeks, for they can no longer sign any players unless there are sufficient exits. Nico Gonzalez, Pablo Torre and Julian Araujo have all been in the headlines over the past week in view of the same.

To take forward the departure list,Barcelonasee the centre-back position to be one filled with possibility. After all, they have sufficient manpower in Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Jules Kounde and Inigo Martinez.

The administration thus see the likes of Clement Lenglet and Eric Garcia to be surplus and are willing to negotiate the exits of both players. According to ɾєρօɾτs fromSPORT, Olympique Marseille are interested in both players’ profiles.

The Ligue 1 side have been active in the ongoing summer transfer window, signing Renan Lodi, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Amine Harit, and Ruslan Malinovskyi over the past month.

Their priority now is the central defence where they are relatively short-staffed. To that єɴԀ, they have contactedBarcelonato ask about Lenglet and Garcia.

Marseille’s top priority, unsurprisingly, is the French international Lenglet. Signing him would be a dream come true for the Ligue 1 side’s administration, although it is easier said than done.

TheBarcelonadefєɴԀer is currently on exorbitant wages that the French side cannot afford, making his signing a complicated affair.

Moreover, Lenglet prefers to stay in the Premier League after his experience atTottenham Hotspur. The London based-side are interested in his signing, but refuse to meet €15 million demand made byBarcelona.

The story with Eric Garcia, however, is different. Despite knowing that he will have it difficult to see minutes next season, the former Manchester City star has not been receptive to talks of a transfer.

Garcia declined the chance to move out on loan to Real Betis and a move to a new country appears to be a far stretch. Needless to say, the coming weeks will be critical in deciding if Marseille find their new centre-back in Xavi’s squad or elsewhere.
