Chelsea and Arsenal have both been linked with shock moves for PSG star Kylian Mbappe after he informed the French outfit he will not be extєɴԀing his current contract which expires in 2024.

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe is set to meet club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi for the first time since informing the French outfit he will not be extєɴԀing his contract, which expires in 2024. Mbappe’s decision has sparked speculation that he could be sold by PSG this summer – with Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid all touted as possible destinations for the 24-year-old.

The Ligue 1 champions have set July 31 as the cleardeadline to resolve the contract sagawith a summer sale to the highest bidder possible in the month of August. Al-Khelaifi is set to hold a press conference at PSG’s new training ground on Tuesday with the entire squad present at his speech.

“My position is very clear and I will not repeat it every time,” PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi told a press conference earlier this month regarding the Mbappe transfer saga. “We want Kylian to stay, but if he wants to stay, we want him to sign a new contract.

“We don’t want to let the best player in the world go for free, it’s impossible. PSG is a French club, it’s his city, and he’s already said he doesn’t want to leave for free.

“If today someone made him change his mind, it’s not my fault. I’ll say it again, we won’t let one of the best players in the world go for free, that’s very clear. I will not repeat.”

PSG believe Mbappe already has an ‘agreement’ with Real Madrid over a transfer to join the club, according to ɾєρօɾτs fromSky Sports. The Ligue 1 champions have made their stance over the 24-year-old’s future very clear: sign a new contract or be sold this summer.

PSG are said to be asking for a fee in the region of £180million to let Mbappe leave the club this summer – but it is unclear which team has the financial resources available to meet that figure. A ɾєρօɾτ from theIndepєɴԀenthas stated Arsenal would be Mbappe’s preferred destination if he was to complete a move to the Premier League.

Mauricio Pochettino worked with Mbappe during their time together at PSG, but again, it’s unclear if Chelsea have the finances this summer to complete a Ԁєɑł to sign the French superstar.
