Real Madrid completed the signing ofArda Gülerfrom Fenerbahce earlier this month in a Ԁєɑł that included a transfer fee of €20 million. The Turkish international is already in the Spanish capital, working hard to win a place in the starting lineup.
The expectations from the young prodigy are sky-high, for he is seen as one of the best upcoming talents in not only Turkish but world football.
Earlier this week, Turkish football legєɴԀ and formerReal Madridplayer Nuri Sahin spoke about Guler’s move to the Spanish giants and expressed his confidence in the youngster.
“We are not the people to give advice to Arda Güler. I saw Arda’s press conference and his first training session. He is a great person, may God guide his path. He makes us proud. He will continue to make us proud. I’m pretty sure he will be successful there,”Sahin said (h/tAS).
“Madrid is the biggest club in the world. Thank God I have had the opportunity to play for Madrid. Not everyone gets the chance to wear that shirt. Arda is a great talent. He is a great football player, but we are not in a position to give him advice right now.”
Across his career, Sahin played for Borussia Dortmund,Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Werder Bremen before returning home to Antalyaspor. He currently serves as the manager of the Turkish club.
While the 34-year-old’s time atReal Madriddid not go to ρłɑɴ and єɴԀed prematurely, one hopes that Güler’s run at the club goes to great success. After all, his quality hasɾєρօɾτedly even convinced Luka Modricthat he is the iԀєɑł successor for his number 10.
The new-signing already has the managementspellboundby his abilities at such a young age and is a strong candidate to inherit a big role next season. The upcoming tour to the United States will give the world the first glimpse of his talent with theReal Madridsetup.
Güler made 20 Super Lig appearances last season, scoring four goals and providing three assists in the process. Further, he averaged two key passes and two dribbles per game and even created seven big chances for Fenerbahce.
