The 29-year-old has become surplus to requirements atCityafter falling out of favour with manager Pep Guardiola.
City sent Cancelo out on loan toBayern Munichin January after he found game time difficult to come by with the Cityzens.
Cancelorecorded one goal and six assists in his 21 appearances forBayern. However, his performances did not convince the club to sign him permanently.
There were talks of negotiations to reduce the €70 million purchase clause, but the Bundesliga champions are not interested.
Cancelo has interest from cash-strapped Barcelona. Due to financial constraints, the Catalans cannot pursue their interest, leaving room for the London club to move for him.
The Barreiro-born defєɴԀer is not the only right-back on Arsenal’s shortlist, although he features right at the top.
Arsenal have shown interest inGalatasaraydefєɴԀerSacha Boey, who has impressed in Turkey. He could leave this summer as top European clubs target him.
Boey contributed one goal and four assists in 31 appearances to help his side win the league title.
The 22-year-old has two years left on his contract with Gala and will likely leave this summer.
Arsenal also have Benjamin Henrichs on their transfer shortlist. The German has a contract with RB Leipzig until 2025 but could leave if a tempting offer is made.
The priority forArsenalis still Cancelo, who is looking for a new destination.
