Earlier today, ɾєρօɾτs emerged from Germany claiming that Bayern Munich had set their sights on asummer move for Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
It was suggested that the 23-year-old is at the top of the wishlist of the Bavarians’ manager Thomas Tuchel, who is keen on signing a new defensive midfielder this summer.
Furthermore, the ɾєρօɾτ even claimed that there had already been some contact between Bayern Munich and Tchouameni regarding a potential transfer.
However, a fresh update fromBILD’s Tobi Altschafflhas now claimed that while Tuchel rates theReal Madridstar highly, there is no contact between any of the parties involved at this moment.
Bayern Munich know thatReal Madrid do not want to sell Tchouameniat this moment.
On top of that, signing him this summer would be a challenge for the Bundesliga champions as they have spent €50 million to land Kim Min-jae and will be splashing a big sum to bring in Harry Kane as well.
Tchouameni joinedReal Madridonly last summer, arriving from AS Monaco in a Ԁєɑł that could reach €100 million. The 23-year-old made a brilliant start to life in the Spanish capital, straight away slotting into the team in place of Casemiro.
However, the midfielder’s form took a nosedive in the second half of the campaign, prompting Carlo Ancelotti to axe him from the lineup.
It has led to rumours about his future sparking up, but as things stand,Los Blancoscontinue to count on the French international, with the manager retaining full faith in the player.
In fact, it has been suggested thatTchouameni will be a regular starter for Real Madridin the upcoming campaign despite the competition in midfield.
There is still a lot of time left in the transfer window, but Bayern Munich’s ɾєρօɾτed interest in Tchouameni is unlikely to lead to something.
