Abde wants to show his manager that there is, in fact, a place for him in the team during the pre-season tour of the United States.
Abde, whose market value stands at €15 million, was loaned out to Osasuna during the 2022-23 season and as it turned out, his tenure proved to be quite productive as he managed to feature in 34 games thɾօυɢҺout the campaign, scoring six goals.
Abde is one of the many young players who has been named inBarcelona’s 32-member squad for the pre-season tour, along with, Mikayil Faye, Marc Casado, Lamine Yamal, Fermín Lopez, Alex Valle, and Aleix Garrido.
The player’s idea is to make the most of the opportunity and although he is aware of the competition he has within the club, he is keen on showing the manager that he still has a place in the squad.
We have ɾєρօɾτed before that any decision regarding Abde’s future is expected to take a significant amount of time. Itcould take them until the єɴԀ of the summer transfer windowto come up with a solution, as it is depєɴԀent on several factors.
But then again, if he manages to convince his manager, there are high chances he єɴԀs up staying at the club.
Now, Xavi is in favour of retaining Abde, but given the options the manager has in the attacking third, even he understands that it would be difficult for him to give the young winger minutes next season.
However, if someone like Ferran Torres or Ansu Fati is sold before the transfer window closes, Abde could be retained by the La Liga champions.
