Barcelona’s struggles in getting rid of unwanted first-team stars this summer have been well-documented.

The club are trying hard to get rid of attackers such as Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati, but none of them has shownany desire to leave Camp Nou. The only player who has been quite understanding of the club’s situation is Franck Kessie.

According toSPORT, Kessie’s initial wish is to stay at Camp Nou and continue fighting for his place in the first team. But he is open to leaving if Xavi Hernandez personally tells him he has no place in his ρłɑɴs next season.

Kessie is also a wanted prospect in the market, unlike some of Barcelona’s other first-team players. As per the same ɾєρօɾτ, the Ivorian international has been targeted by Saudi Arabian giants Al Ahli.

It appears the oil-rich country is ready to attract yet another talented midfielder from Europe, with Al Ahli offering Kessie a multi-million dollar contract for three years. Aware of Saudi’s deep pockets, Barcelona themselves are now demanding a steep figure for the midfielder.

The Catalans are holding out for a fee of at least €30 million for the former AC Milan star, who joined the club on a free transfer last summer.

Apart from a move to Saudi, Kessie has also been linked with a move to Inter Milan, with Barcelona ɾєρօɾτedly considering him in an єxƈҺɑɴɢє Ԁєɑł with Marcelo Brozovic. The player, though, has no desire to return to Italian football.

Saudi Arabia, therefore, appears to be a potential destination for the Ivorian, as he looks to take the next step in his career. Barcelona, for their part, would be banking on a move to Saudi as well, knowing Al Ahli will be able to offer a lucrative transfer premium for the midfielder.
