Arsenal have already completed the signings of Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber for a combined fee in excess of £200million but could still sign more players this summer.

Arsenal are looking to complete two more signings before the summer transfer window closes. Mikel Arteta recently hinted that the Gunners are open to bringing in further reinforcements ahead of next season – but the club are now focusing on selling fringe players to raise funds.

The Gunners could raise over £100million if they are able to sell players deemed to be surplus to requirements which may see them dip back into the transfer market. A ɾєρօɾτ fromThe IndepєɴԀenthas stated that Arsenal want to sign a new midfielder and a right-back.

Jurrien Timber completed a £36million switch to theEmirates Stadium from Ajax earlierthis summer and the Dutchman’s versatility means he can offer cover at right-back and centre-back. Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are expected to compete for a starting spot on the right side of defence, which may suggest Timber will be predominantly used at centre-back considering the Gunners are still searching for reinforcements at right-back. Alternatively, it could mean White is used more as a centre-back instead of a full-back, with central defence being his natural position.

Declan Rice completed a £105million move to Arsenal from West Ham following Granit Xhaka’s £21.5million switch to Bayer Leverkusen. Kai Havertz arrived from Chelsea in a £65million Ԁєɑł and is expected to play in an attacking midfield role – whilst also providing cover in attack if necessary.

Mohammed Kudus and Michael Olise have emerged as targets for the Gunners this summer with the former potentially available for just £40million. However, Arsenal may be priced out of aԀєɑł for Kudus with Chelseaset to rival them for the Ghanaian midfielder’s signature.

Arteta will hope he can move on a number of players that aren’t in his ρłɑɴs for the upcoming season to raise funds quickly and look to bring in a new midfielder and right-back to further strengthen his squad.
