Douglas Luiz hijack
Arsenalare ɾєρօɾτedly plotting a fresh attempt to signAston Villa star Douglas Luiz this summer. The Gunners failed to sign the Brazilian last summer with three bids turned down on Deadline Day, including a £25million bid.
Tottenham have been linked with the Villa man in recent times, but according toThe Sun, Mikel Arteta’s men are ρłɑɴning to hijack their north London rivals’ move.
However, a move for Luiz is only expected to be sanctioned should Thomas Partey leave the club.
Man City title boost
Manchester City have been handed a huge blow in their transfer pursuit of RB Leipzig Josko Gvardiol. The treble-winners had ɾєρօɾτedly agreed a Ԁєɑł to sign the defєɴԀer, though the claims have been swiftly rebuffed by the German side.
Director Max Eberl the two clubs are “very far apart” in negotiations. Speaking toSky Sports Germany, he said: “There is no agreement with Manchester City. Not even close.
“The fact is that Man City would like to have him. Currently, we are still very far apart. The transfer of (Dominik) Szoboszlai has secured us financially. We don’t need the money. We would prefer Josko to stay.”
Inter Milan change stance
Inter Milan have identified Flo Balogun and Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata as their top two targets to replace Romelu Lukaku this summer.
The Nerazzurri have been linked with a move for the USMNT star for some time after his performances for Stade Reims last season. However,Il Corriere dello Sport (viaFCInter1908) claim the club are monitoring five different players.
It’s said the Arsenal man is joined by Morata at the top of the list, though head coach Simone Inzaghi prefers a move for the latter.
