Arsenal transfer news: Kieran Tierney is attracting interest from Europe having found himself low in Mikel Arteta’s pecking order at left-back.

Arsenalhave made a huge demand in the negotiations for Kieran Tierney’s loan move to Real Sociedad, according to ɾєρօɾτs. The left-back has been linked with an exit thɾօυɢҺout the summer having fallen down Mikel Arteta’s pecking order.

Ahead of the 2023/24 season, the Gunners currently have five options at left-back.Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jurrien Timber are likely to be Arteta’s first-choice rotation, with Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jakub Kiwior joining Tierney as considerations.

Tierney’s future at the Emirates Stadium has been in doubt ever since Zinchenko arrived from Manchester City last summer. The Ukraine international is better suited to Arteta’s inverted full-back style of play, a system that Tierney has struggled to adapt to.

Aston Villa and Newcastle have both been said to be interested in the Scotland international although no formal approach has been made.Recent ɾєρօɾτs from Spain have claimed La Liga outfit Sociedad are keen to sign him, albeit only on loan.

The Spanish side only want a temporary Ԁєɑł while Arsenal would prefer to sell the left-back permanently to raise funds for any further business. The complication in negotiations could prove pivotal, butThe Athletichave claimed the Gunners are prepared to include a clause to work for both parties.

It’s ɾєρօɾτed that the clause will see him leave the club permanently next summer after a full season in Spain. By the time the 26-year-old returns to London, he will have two years left on his Ԁєɑł.

Should the clause not make the final negotiations, the hope will be that Tierney enjoys a successful season in Spain that will see his market value increase. Similar toFolarin Balogunthis summer, the Gunners are in a good position to sell a saleable asset for big money after his successful loan spell.

Despite falling down Arteta’s pecking order, Tierney has insisted that he remains happy at Arsenal. “It’s not really up to me,” he said on his future earlier this summer. “I’m happy, I’m working hard every day and getting minutes. I’m just trying to do as well as I can.

“You can’t play every single game, every single season, every single year. I don’t expect that and I still made a lot of appearances last year.”
