Arsenalare considering a bid forSouthampton’s Romeo Lavia as they look to bolster their midfield in thesummer transferwindow.

The Gunners are looking for reinforcements in the middle of the pitch and have been pursuing a number of different options in recent weeks.

And now,Mikel Arteta’s side have turned their attention to Belgian international Lavia, who could be available for cheap in the wake of Southampton’s relegation.

However, the Gunners will also be rivalled by Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United in a battle for Lavia’s signature.

Despite Southampton’s torrid campaign, the 19-year-old still managed to impress in his debut season at St Mary’s.

With 34 appearances in all competitions, and one goal, the midfielder was a mainstay in the Saints side until the єɴԀ of the season.

Bakayoko made 43 appearances in the 2017/2018 campaign before being shipped out on loan for the remainder of his stay in west London.
