Paulo Dybala is available to English clubs at a bargain price this summer but Arsenal and Chelsea now only have a short amount of time to act on a transfer.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been sent a clear reminder they must act soon if they want to sign Paulo Dybala in the summer transfer window. The Argentine forward has a clause in his Roma contract which will soon expire that allows a departure to be sealed for a bargain price that stands at £10.4million for clubs outside Serie A and £17.31m for clubs in Italy.
Both London teams are on the search for attacking acquisitions withArsenal preferably hoping to sign a back up option for Bukayo Saka, whileChelsea are still keeping tabs on numerous natural No.9 options. While neither of those profiles really fit Dybala’s style of play, Chelsea or Arsenal signing a World Cup winner for just over £10million is an unthinkable scenario in the current age of transfers.
The Blues have had stronger links to the Roma star than Arsenal, with Thiago Silva fuelling most of the talk with his comments at the British Grand Prix.When asked about rumours of Dybala to Stamford Bridge, he replied: “I saw Paulo Dybala here, they talk about him at Chelsea. I hope he arrives. I’ve talked with him and asked him if he is coming. He is a world class player.
“Normally we speak in Spanish or Portuguese. I asked him if he wanted to come to Chelsea, but he didn’t want to answer. He is a champion. If he were to come, he would give a great hand.”
His international team-mate Enzo Fernandez then weighed in on the situationwhen speaking to Argentine outletOle, he said: “Yes, I saw something about that. We’ll see. I hope he comes. I talked to him and told him that I’m waiting for him to share a barbecue or something. I need someone to share the maté’s.”
If Mauricio Pochettino is to take the advice of two of his star players Chelsea must make a move quickly as the clause in his contract which facilitates a bargain move will expire at the єɴԀ of July, giving the west Londoners just nine days to strike.
However, for Dybala he looks to only be focusing on one thing and that is starting the new season in Rome. When speaking about his future to Italian outletLaroma24, he said: I’m motivated for pre-season. I’m happy at Roma. I’m staying here.”
