The Allnatt Diamond is a 101.29 carat (20,258 g) diamond with a square-cut bezel, rated as Fancy Vivid Yellow.This diamond is named after one of its holders, Major Alfred Ernest Allnatt, a soldier, sportsman, patron of the arts.
Allnatt’s provenance was unclear until it was purchased by Allnatt in the early 1950s. After purchasing the diamond, Allnatt commissioned Cartier to perform the cut.The final shape resembles a platinum flower with five petals, a stem and two leaves, all studded with diamonds.Allnatt was resold at auction in May 1996 by Christie’s in Geneva for US$3,043,496.At the time of sale, Allnatt was 102.07 carats (20,414 g).and is classified as Fancy Intense Yellow.After being sold to SIBA Corporation, the diamond was recut to its current weight and enhanced strength.
