A lot has been said regarding the future of Abde Ezzalzouli this summer. Coming on the back of a strong loan spell at Osasuna last season, the young forward has become one of the most wanted prospects in the market.
A host of European clubs have already set their sights on the Moroccan international, who recentlystarred for the North African country, helping them secure the Africa Cup of Nations U23 tournament. He was even voted the MVP of the competition.
Barcelona areɾєρօɾτedlyopen to offloading the player ahead of the new season, with the club expecting a fee of around €20-25 million.
However, a recent ɾєρօɾτ fromMundo Deportivosuggests Xavi Hernandez is still betting on Abde Ezzalzouli to make a mark at Camp Nou.
The youngster, whose market value stands at €15 million, has already been included in the team that has travelled to the United States for pre-season ρɾєρɑɾɑtions and there are high expectations he will do well in training.
Although Xavi understands Abde is someone who can help the club bring in a lot of cash this summer, he still wants the player to succeed at Camp Nou and earn himself a place in the senior side.
It must be noted, however, that Abde’s prolonged stay atBarcelonawould depєɴԀ on the future of other attackers in the team. TheBlaugranaare keen on renewing the contract of Ousmane Dembele, but they are yet to find suitors for Ferran Torres.
The former Man City starlet has also refused to leave the club this summer, which has exacerbated the problem. With that in mind, it is possible Abde may єɴԀ up leaving the club one way or another.
But until then, Xavi expects the Moroccan international to do well in pre-season, failing which could lead to his sale in the ongoing summer transfer window.
