The Reds have already signed Alexis Mac Allister andDominik Szoboszlai so far this summer to cover the losses of Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner.

However, the unexpected departures of Jordan HєɴԀerson and Fabinho to Saudi Arabia means thatLiverpoolboss Jurgen Klopp could have to buy at least one or two more players.

Southampton’s Romeo Lavia had seemed like their top midfield target after making multiple bids for the Belgium international but the Reds changed focus today when they bid £110m for Brighton’s Caicedo in the early hours of this morning.

That bid has been accepted by the Seagulls but Fabrizio Romano has claimed thatCaicedo has made it clear to Liverpool that he will only entertain a move to Chelsea this summer.

And nowLiverpoolcould be moving on with Spanish publicationNacionalclaiming that the Reds ‘are interested’ in bringing Real Madrid’s Valverde to Anfield this summer.

The newspaper are calling Valverde the ‘great victim of the arrival of [Kylian] Mbappe’ with any attempt to lure the Paris Saint-Germain attacker to the Bernabeu this summer likely to strike a ‘severe blow to the coffers’.

That meansReal Madridwill likely have to offload Valverde or team-mate Aurelien Tchouameni, although Real are yet to make a bid for Mbappe this summer.

Liverpool ‘have presented an offer of €60m’ for Valverde as they ‘try to reach an agreement with Real Madrid’ for the Uruguay international.

It is understood thatLiverpool‘were willing to pay €100m’ not so long ago for Valverde but his performances last season mean the Reds are only willing to offer €40m less.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez ‘requires a minimum of €80m to accept’and Tchouameni will be addedto the Mbappe ‘sacrifice list’ if Valverde єɴԀs up staying.

Sky Sportsɾєρօɾτer Kaveh Solhekol has bɾօυɢҺt the latest on Mbappe’s situation atPSGwith the World Cup winner sticking to his guns so far this summer, as he looks for a free transfer toReal Madridin a year.

Solhekol wrote: “Kylian Mbappe has told Paris Saint-Germain he will not leave the club under any circumstances this summer.

“PSG’s position, therefore, has not changed – he will be frozen out and not play until his contract runs out next season.

“Sky Sports Newsunderstands one point of contention is that Mbappe feels let down by the club’s transfer policy.

“When he signed a new contract last summer, he was led to believe that Robert Lewandowski and Bernardo Silva would be joining him in Paris.”
