To celebrate the launch ofLamborghini’s track-only Essenza SCV12hypercar, the Italian automaker’s watch partnerRoger DubuisɾєⱱєɑłєԀ a limited-edition timepiece inspired by the car. Called the Excalibur Essenza SCV12, the watch was created in collaboration with Lamborghini’s motorsports wing Squadra Corse. Based on theExcalibur Aventador S watch, the new timepiece features a reworked version of Roger Dubuis’s Duotor movement. Just like the track-only hypercar, the Lamborghini-exclusive Roger Dubuis movement has been stripped down to the essentials and features design elements directly inspired by the Essenza SCV12, including the skeleton flying mode shaped like the wheel design of the race car. The watch also features lime green accents inspired by the Essenza SCV12 which contrasts the carbon construction of the watch.
Customers of the Excalibur Essenza SCV12 ‘hyper watch’ will be able to customize their timepiece with the help of the watchmaker’s “Rarities,” which can help the watch truly one-of-a-kind. There’s no information on the release date or the pricing of the Excalibur Essenza SCV12, but we expect it to be more than the $185,000 starting price for the Excalibur Aventador S. The Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 is a track-only limited-edition race car that is powered by theItalian marque’smost powerful naturally-aspirated V12 ever made. It churns out more than 830 horsepower which is sent to the rear wheels. Lamborghini will build on 40 of these track weapons.
