Steamring is the brainchild of designers Baran Akalin and Doğa Naz Cebeci, who want to bring a 19th century steampunk aesthetic to the world of superyachts

Could the future of yacht design actually lie in the past? That’s the idea behind the 75m superyacht concept Steamring, which takes inspiration from the world of steampunk.

Desing duo Baran Akalin and Doğa Naz Cebeci are certainly not afraid to think outside of the box, as these head-turning rєɴԀerings confirm.

Cebeci’s interior is every bit as striking as Akalin’s exterior. The star of the show is an indoor pool flanked by swinging chaise longues suspєɴԀed from the ceiling.

There is even a dedicated man cave on board, with a poker table, bar area and pole dancing stage (make of that what you will…)

This distinctive aesthetic was rewarded at the recent International Yacht and Aviation Awards in Venice, where Steamring scooped the best Interior Design Concept – no meant feat, when you consider that other categories were won by industry heavyweights Oceanco, Turquoise Yachts, Overmarine and Britain’s own Pearl Yachts.

Despite its name, Steamring would be powered by a modern pair of 4,000hp diesel engines for a top speed of 24 knots. Full steam ahead!
