Inter have decided to leave negotiations with Chelsea over a Ԁєɑł to re-sign Lukaku after failing to agree a fee for the Belgian, who spent last season on loan at the San Siro.
Simeone Inzaghi’s side are now considering alternatives and have compiled a shortlist of options that includes Arsenal’s Balogun.
The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Reims and impressed to score 21 league goals for the Ligue 1 side, but is expected to move on as he looks to retain a first-choice role.
The USA international has also been linked with Chelsea and Crystal Palace and is viewed as a different profile of forward forInter, who are considering a more mobile option to replace Lukaku and the departed Edin Dzeko.
