After much hustle,Barcelonamade the acquisition of Roque from Athletico Paranaense official today. The player is expected to join the club for the 2024/25 season and will sign a contract until the 2030/31 season with a buy-out clause of €500 million.
Barcelona and Athletico have been in touch over transfer for quite a long time. The two have been discussing the terms of the move and finally, they decided to settle on a€30 million upfront fee.
Furthermore, as much as €31 million have been reserved as potential add-ons. As part of the bonus, €26 million have been reserved for goals and trophies while the remaining €5 million will be paid if the player ever єɴԀs up in the top three of the Ballon d’Or.
