Kevin De Bruyne had to go off injured in the Champions League final and he has spoken about how he has suffered for two months.
Manchester Cityfinally got their hands on the Champions League trophy after they beat Inter Milan 1-0 with the goal coming fromRodriin the second half.
Winning that game also meant that City won the treble for the first times in their history to make the season even more special for them.
Unfortunately though Kevin De Bruyne had to go off injured in the Champions League final just like two years ago but this time he єɴԀed up with a winners medal.
After the game the Belgium international discussed why he had to go off injured and how he is been uncomfortable for the last two months.
He said: “I’ve been struggling for two months, since the Bayern Munich away game.
“They were all small ruptures but today I snapped it all the way so I wasn’t able to go on.
I’ve been told for two months there’s a possibility I was at risk but, you know, you take it.
“I did what I had to do. Obviously I missed some games but the games likeArsenal, Bayern and Madrid I managed to do it. I had some personal things that happened with my family on top of that and I managed that. I give everything for my team and the people in the club know that.”
There is now a risk that the 31-year-old is going to miss the start of next season.
