The 23-year-old is facing an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge, leading Real Madrid to weigh up a potentialmove.

It has been claimed that Los Blancos have identified the German as a possiblereplacementfor Karim Benzema who has left to join Al Ittihad.

But according toThe Telegraph, Arsenal are also in the race to secure the ex-Bayer Leverkusen star’s services.

However both teams have baulked at Chelsea’s £70m valuation of the player.

It has been said that any potential suitor will refuse to pay any more than £50m for Havertz this summer.

Chelseawould be willing to part ways with Havertz, who they paid £75m for in 2020.

And Havertz himself is open to a new adventure away from west London having not indicated any desire to extєɴԀ his contract beyond 2025.

In what is a boost for Arsenal, it is believed that Chelsea will not force Havertz into joining a club offering the biggest fee, and will take into consideration his preference.

Havertz, who scored Chelsea’s winner against Manchester City in the 2021 Champions League final, was guilty of inconsistent performances this season.

In total, he scored just nine goals in all competitions from his 47 outings – chipping in with just a solitary assist.

He is so far yet to reach double digits in any of his three campaigns in the Premier League.

Havertz could be one of many high-profile players that will be shown the exit door by Chelsea this summer.

talkSPORT understands that Mason Mount has agreedpersonal termswith Manchester United, while Mateo Kovacic is closing in on aswitchto Manchester City.

And fellow midfielderN’Golo Kantecould be on his way out to join Saudi Arabia side Al Ittihad.
