The consortium from Qatar has now made a fifth last-ditch attempt to takeover at Old Trafford and, according toThe Times, will withdraw their interest if it is not accepted on Friday.

As with previous offers, the Qatari bid is for full control of the club. Ratcliffe and his petrochemicals firm, Ineos, have entered the final stages of negotiations with The Raine Group, the New York bank handling the sale, and had hoped to conclude a Ԁєɑł as soon as possible.

The British billionaire’s offer had proposed that Joel and Avram Glazer – two of the six siblings who own the Red Devils – could retain a stake in the Premier League side. There has since been talk of all six Glazer siblings retaining some form of stake at Old Trafford.
