Chelsea have failed to meet Mount’s demands for a new contract after months of negotiations and Todd Boehly has decided he would rather sell the 24-year-old this summer than lose him for nothing in a year’s time.

A ɾєρօɾτ earlier today said that Mount had now‘told Chelsea he wants Man Utd transfer’after the Red Devils agreed personal terms with Mount.

It now looks increasingly likely he will leave the club in the summer transfer window and Mount was asked about the speculation during a trip to Barcelonafor the Formula One Grand Prix.

When asked whether he was moving to Man Utd bySky Sports’ Martin Brundle during a grid walk, Mount laughed the question off before replying: “No, I’m here to just enjoy this race today. Amazing day. Can’t wait to watch it.”

“He’s my best mate. Personally I’d love him to stay but it’s not my business, I can’t really comment on that.”

Former striker Andy Cole has warned Man Utd about signing Mount as he thinks they need someone with more “X-factor”.

Cole toldFA Cup Odds:”None of theChelseaplayers improveManchester United. They can’t be any worse next season; otherwise, they’ll be in big trouble. I know there’s talk ofMason Mount; he’s a decent player who works hard and puts in a shift.

“ButManchester Unitedneed someone with that X-factor and flair. Someone like Jude Bellingham drives the team forward.”
