PSG superstar and Argentina captain Lionel Messi is set to take a decision on his future imminently amid strong interest from FC Barcelona and Al Hilal, ɾєρօɾτsFernando Polo ofMundo Deportivo.
Messi will become a free agent on June 30 as his contract with PSG expires. A return to Barcelona has been heavily talked up with president Joan Laporta, vice-president Rafa Yuste,manager Xavi Hernandez, and several players all publicly expressing their desire to re-sign him.
However, Barcelona are not in a position to sєɴԀ in a contract offer to Messi at the moment as they are to receive approval from La Liga on their economic viability ρłɑɴ. Only after that arrives, will they be able to go ahead and present a formal proposal.
But, as things stand, Messi does not wish to wait for a long time and is keen to make a decision on his future imminently.
As such, even though he takes the club’s interest into account, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner does not consider Barcelona as a realistic option for himself right now.
