Montblanc has released a newlimited editionversion of its mountain exploration watch, the 1858 Geosphere, that pays tribute to one of the greatest mountaineers – Reinhold Messner. The 76-year-old mountaineering legєɴԀ was the first man to climb Mount Everest solo and was also the first man to climb all 14 peaks above 8000 meters. TheMontblanc1858 Geosphere Messner Limited Edition is a celebration of all the achievements of the Italian mountain climber. The limited edition of the vintage-inspired 1858 Geosphere features special nods to the mountaineering legєɴԀ and comes in a new blue and bronze colorway. If you look closely, you’ll notice that the latest iteration basically combines the warm bronze tone from thekhaki avatar that was launched in 2019with the blue shade from theversion launched this yearwith a titanium case. But we must say that the new color combination looks very impressive.

The new Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Messner Limited Edition is almost identical to the standard versions in terms of design. The bronze case measuring 42mm features a mixture of brushed and polished surfaces, and the fluted bidirectional bezel gets a navy blue ceramic insert. The dial also preserves the same layout and design with a degradè effect applied to the deep blue dial, rose gold details, cathedral hands, and dual globe world time complication. The globes at 12 and 6 o’clock, representing the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, feature seven red dots corresponding to each of the seven summits. The highlight of the watch is its heavily engraved titanium caseback. It features a complex rєɴԀering of the Mont Blanc mountain, a list of the tallest mountains on each of the seven continents famously called the Seven Summits, a pair of crossed ice axes, a compass, and Reinhold Messner’s signature. Only 262 examples of the limited edition will be made and are available thɾօυɢҺ authorized Ԁєɑłers with a price tag of $6500.
