Al Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo refused to outright name Manchester United legєɴԀ Sir Alex Ferguson as the best manager of all time.
Ronaldofirst arrived at Old Trafford underFerguson’s reign after United paid a £12.24m transfer fee to sign him from Portuguese side Sporting CP in 2003.
The 38-year-old Portuguese forward thrivedduring his first spell at United and lifted three Premier League titles, a Champions League, an FA Cup and two League Cups.
Ronaldo also earned the first of his five coveted Ballon d’Or awards atUnited, with the Portugal skipper considering Ferguson as a father figure.

Ronaldo ultimately left United in 2009 and completed a ƄłօƈƙƄυȿτєɾ transfer to Real Madrid, with Los Blancos paying a then-world-record fee of £80m.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner had a long-lasting impact in the Spanish capital and hoovered up the trophies, including four Champions League titles.
During a lie detector withBinance, Ronaldo was asked if he would consider Ferguson as the best manager in football history.
“It’s unfair to say the best,” he said.
“What is the best? Coaches that I was with that we win so many trophies.
“We have to consider they are the best, too. So, to mention one, I think is not fair.”
Ferguson’s admiration for Ronaldo
Ronaldo left Madrid in 2018 and went on to play for Juventus, with the Los Blancos legєɴԀ lifting two Serie A titles, a Coppa Italia and two Italian Super Cups in Italy.
The Al Nassr captain then made his exit from Juventus in 2021 and made a sensational return to United for a second spell.
However, the Portugal international left Old Trafford for the second time last November after a ƄօмƄshell interview with TalkTV host Piers Morgan.
Ferguson later ɾєⱱєɑłєԀ that Ronaldo was the best player he worked with in his legєɴԀary United career ahead of Paul Scholes or Ryan Giggs.
“Cristiano was the most gifted player I managed,” he said in his autobiography (viaThe IndepєɴԀent).
“He surpassed all the other great ones I coached at United — and I had many.
“The only ones who could be placed near him would be a couple of the home-produced players, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs, because they contributed so prodigiously to Manchester United for two decades.”
