Manchester United have announced that Tom Heaton will miss the first few weeks of the new season with ιɴjυɾу, as perManUtd.com.
The Reds kick off their 2023/24 Premier League season on Monday night, with Andre Onana set to make his competitive debut since joining the club from Inter Milan.
Heaton’s ιɴjυɾу still throws a spanner in the works for Erik ten Hag because he now only has one senior goalkeeper because Dean HєɴԀerson is recovering from a thigh ιɴjυɾу.
Meanwhile,Matej Kovaris on the verge of signing for Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
The ιɴjυɾу to Heaton is also likely to scupper HєɴԀerson’s chances of a move this summer. It doesn’t help that Nottingham Forest have signed Matt Turner from Arsenal.
This may force Ten Hag and his recruitment team to speed up their pursuit for a new No.2 after missing out on Zion Suzuki.
