Mbappe toReal Madridhas gathered steam in the last couple of days after news emerged that the French world cup winner is alreadylooking for residential properties in the Spanish capital.
The most recent update regarding the saga was that Madrid president Florentino Perez has assured that there is a€180 million bid ready for the playerbut they will only approach PSG when Mbappe publicly admits he ‘wants to leave’.
PSG in deep trouble
PSG will be in grave trouble if they do not find a solution for Mbappe. The player has alreadyrєjєƈτed a contract approach from the French teamwhere they assured mandatory sale next summer and he has also declined to even listen to offers from Saudi Arabia.
The Parisians are set to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona and Goncalo Ramos from Benfica, meaning that they are more or less prepared for life beyond Mbappe in the first place.
However, if for some ɾєɑȿօɴ PSG fail to reach an agreement withReal Madrid, they will be in deep trouble with regards to Financial Fairplay, something which they are already fighting.
What does PSG want?
PSG’s initial asking price for the forward was €300 million but even they have realised that the player has dragged the matter to an extent that they do have the leverage anymore.
As a result, they havelowered their expectations to €250 million, but even this is something thatReal Madridare not willing to meet.
From Madrid’s point of view, an offer worth €180 million is more than enough for a player who is anyway going to be a free agent next season.
Amidst all this, there is a growing sense of belief that the two teams will manage to reach the middle ground before the transfer window slams shut.
