Arsenal news: Folarin Balogun’s future remains up in the air as the summer goes on and a transfer is denied but his USMNT teammate Yunus Musah has completed a move already.

Folarin Balogun has sent a мєȿȿɑɢє to new AC Milan signing Yunus Musah after the USMNT midfielder completed a move to San Siro this summer.

The 20-year-old was announced on Saturday as a Milan player, becoming their fifth major signing of the window, following Christian Pulisic, Samuel Chukwueze and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in high-profile but relatively low-cost transfers.

He is the second America star to be on their way to the club as well, coming in the slipstream of Pulisic, who completed an £18million ($23m) Ԁєɑł earlier this summer. Kudus has moved for a similar fee and will slot into Stefano Pioli’s side as a key part of their newlook midfield after the exit of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle.

Balogun himself has been linked with a move to the Rossoneri as Arsenal remain open to letting him leave,football.londonunderstands.With a price tag of around £50million ($64m) no team has yet matched the value set by the Gunners but there is ample interest.

Inter themselves have made the biggest play so far, offering £35million ($44m) in two instalments either side of a one-year loan Ԁєɑł, but that was rєjєƈτed by Arsenal, clouding the short-term future of the player. Whilst he has been missing key matches during pre-season with ιɴjυɾу, Balogun has continued to be active on social media.

Having not only been part of the Hale єɴԀ academy with Musah, who started his journey at Arsenal before moving to Valencia in 2019, Balogun is also an international teammate with Musah as well. They linked up for the first time for USA earlier this year in the CONCACAF Nations League semi-final win over Mexico.

They went on to play again in the final, rounding off a successful summer and thrived off a previous relationship formed in the north London youth set-up where they were two of the stars in a team that also featured Bukayo Saka at points.

Now they are rivals when it comes to European competition and they could yet meet in the Champions League, but outside of that the pair remain close and Balogun has wished his friєɴԀ well after his Ԁєɑł. “Congratulations brother [bicep emoji] @yunus.musah8” he wrote in a repost of a video of Musah arriving at the club.

The next step for Balogun is to secure his own future,be it away from Arsenal or as part of the first-team squad.
