Arsenalhave submitted an opening transfer offer for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
The Gunners have beenheavily linked with the Spanish international in recent days, with Mikel Arteta said to be keen to bring the player in to compete with current number one Aaron Ramsdale. Now, Arteta’s side have ɾєρօɾτedly sent a proposal worth an initial £20million plus an additional £3million in add-ons.
Writing on Twitter, Romano said: “EXCL: Arsenal have submitted opening bid for David Raya to Brentford tonight. The proposal is worth £20m fixed fee plus £3m add-ons
“#AFC Raya told Brentford that he wants the move as personal terms are already agreed.” The bid is well below what Bees boss Thomas Frank has publicly stated he wants for the talented shot-stopper, claiming that Raya is worth around £40million despite being into the final12 months of his contract with the club.
