The last couple of weeks have been rather strenuous for Reinier, who joinedReal Madridin January 2020 from Flamengo.
During this period, the 21-year-old saw his teammates packing bags for the pre-season tour in the United States while he was left alone in Valdebebas.
Why did the Girona move fall thɾօυɢҺ?
Reinier was not included in Real Madrid’s travelling contingent for the pre-season tour because first, Carlo Ancelotti had communicated thathe would not be part of the squadnext season. Secondly, Madrid were in talks with Girona over a second consecutive loan move.
But with Girona signing Pablo Torre from Barcelona on loan for the 2023/24 season, there was no ɾєɑȿօɴ for the La Liga team to sign another midfielder, meaning that Reinier was left wanting.
Reinier is well-liked at Girona. After all, the 21-year-old played 18 games for the team last season and scored two goals.
Above all, Girona manager Michel rates him, but Oriol Romeu’s departure to Barcelona and Torre coming to Girona as part of the Ԁєɑł forced them to back out.
Strange weeks for Reinier
