Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was asked about his side’s ɾєρօɾτed interest in Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.

Mikel Arteta has remained coy when asked about the prospect ofArsenalsigning Brentford goalkeeper David Raya during the summer transfer window.

Following speculation involving Arsenal’s interest in the 27-year-old, the aforementioned Ramsdale has been in the spotlight, with some fɑɴȿ and pundits alike questioning whether or not he is good enough to lead his side in a Premier League title race.

But Arteta has backed the England international, hailing his performance during Wednesday evening’sEmirates Cup clash against Monaco – which єɴԀed 1-1. “He was really good,” Arteta said when asked about the former Bournemouth star’s display.

“I think he was really composed in the game. I think he didn’t have to intervene too much.

“I think there were two actions – one was the goal which was very close range and the other one was the cutback when they hit the post. Other than that he did not have much to do.
