Leicester City, under the leadership of new manager Enzo Maresca, has shown its ambition this summer, recruiting Tottenham’s Harry Winks, Wolves’ Conor Coady, and goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, in a robust bid to recover from last season’s Ԁιȿɑρρօιɴτιɴɢ relegation.

Now, the Foxes look set to further enhance their attacking strength with the acquisition ofMavididi.

The 25-year-old striker, who joined Arsenal’s academy at the age of 13, never managed to break into the Gunners’ first team.

However, his career took an international trajectory with a move to Italian giants Juventus in 2018, becoming the first English player to feature for the Turin club since David Platt in 1992.

Despite his only brief spell with Juventus, a successful loan stint at Dijon led him to Montpellier, where Mavididi displayed his goal-scoring prowess.

He netted 21 times in 96 appearances for the French side and, in the process, broke Chris Waddle’s record for the most games played in France’s top division by an English player.

Yet, England beckons for Mavididi once again.

As Leicester City gears up for their Championship campaign, the English forward is set to add to the attacking competition within the Foxes’ ranks, alongside the likes of Jamie Vardy, Patson Daka, and Kelechi Iheanacho.

There have been long-standing rumours of Mavididi’s desire to return to England, particularly to the Premier League.

Last summer, with several Premier League clubs showing interest.

Sadly, an ιɴjυɾу in early August disrupted his season and the forward didn’t return to action until after the transfer window had closed, keeping him at Montpellier.

Mavididi’s versatility, which includes the ability to play on both wings as well as a centre-forward, adds value to his acquisition.

With Leicester City aiming to return to the top-flight, Mavididi may get the chance for a consistent run of games and a long-awaited return to the Premier League.

In the coming days, Leicester City will be hoping to finalise the transfer Ԁєɑł for Mavididi, showcasing their determination to bounce back and re-establish themselves within England’s top-flight football.
