The Red Devils have made Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund their main transfer target after completing Ԁєɑłs for Mason Mount and Andre Onana.
Once a Ԁєɑł for a new striker is completed, it has been ɾєρօɾτed that Man Utd will then attempt to sign a new midfielder and a new centre-back.
Fred and Scott McTominay continue to be linked with moves away from Old Traffordwith the former most likely to leave before the єɴԀ of the transfer window.
That would pave the way for a new central midfielder withFiorentina’s Amrabat consistently linked to Man Utd over the past couple of months.
AndLa Nazione(viaSport Witness) claims that the ‘distance between the valuations’ has been the only thing keeping Man Utd from signing Amrabat.
Man Utd have made ‘concrete moves’ for the midfielder with the Red Devils now needing to increase their offer by as little as€3-5m to secure a Ԁєɑł, with the Premier League side ‘the only club showing serious interest’.
Fiorentina are said to value the Morocco international at€28-30m while the offer from Man Utd will ‘presumably’ be around€25m.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano bɾօυɢҺt us his update on the Amrabat situationyesterday with the Italian journalist insisting Man Utd have not made an official bid yet, although he is “on their list”.
Romano wrote in hisCaught Offsidecolumn: “I’ve been asked again aboutSofyan AmrabatandManchester United, but from what I’m hearing they have not made an official bid for theFiorentinamidfielder. Amrabat is on their list, they like him, they want to negotiate for him, but there’s no bid yet.
“Fiorentina want something like €35-40m and at the moment United’s focus is on a new striker anyway as they target Rasmus Hojlund. After that, they will look at a potential new midfielder and new centre-back.
“Outgoings will also be crucial, and United are convinced that Fred will leave the club. This will be an important first step, and then they can focus on Amrabat.”
Amrabat shone at the World Cup in the winter, catching the eye of a number of clubs, and made 34 appearances in all competitions forFiorentinalast term.
