Saha’s Hojlund warning

Former Man Utd striker Louis Saha is concerned Rasmus Hojlund may take time to make an impact in England amid a proposed move to Old Trafford. Denmark striker Hojlund has been tipped to join Man Utd from Atalanta, despite ɾєρօɾτs of interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

“It’s always a risk when a player moves from another country,” Saha toldPaddy Power.”They might have all the talent, but it can take time to adapt. But, Rasmus Højlund has what it takes.

“A player with more experience in thePremier Leaguewould be better and I’d prefer it, but that’s the situation.Manchester Unitedneed to decide what their real priority is, whether it’s someone that will have an instant impact or someone for the future.”

Ten Hag stance on Glazer talks

Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag was asked about the club’s takeover situation ahead of the pre-season friєɴԀly againstArsenal.The manager maintained it was a “club decision,” explaining “I’m more often in contact with them (the Glazers) so this is a good opportunity to share ideas and we can talk informally.”

The Glazer family have yet to make a decision on the future of the club after opening the process for a potential sale last season. Sir Jim Ratcliffe andSheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thanihave both fronted bids, but the current owners could yet remain on board.

Ten Hag also argued he was the wrong person to ask when the subject of transfers in the light of the takeover situation was raised. “Finance is not for me, I am aware about FFP (Financial Fair Play) rules etc. But across United, we do everything to get that target in,” he said.

Ronaldo’s advice for Elanga

Former Man Utd star Cristiano Ronaldo’s impact on team-mate Anthony Elanga has resurfaced as the Swede nears an exit. Elanga has been on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs, but it’sNottingham Forestwho look poised to win the battle for the £15m winger.

“He means a lot to me,” Elanga said of Ronaldo. “He has helped me a lot not only on the pitch but off it as well. He is an inspiration, not only to me but to all the young players at United. Sometimes it’s just me and him at the gym.”

Ronaldo’s exit didn’t change how the youngster felt about his former colleague. “No, not so much,” he admitted. “Because when I’m with him, he hasn’t changed. He is stillCristiano Ronaldoto me. He has helped me a lot.”
